Story 72. Written by Jim Waitlord

I met up with B today. We were talking about something, and it made me think – I even mentioned to him, "Did you know that plastic bottles and canned drinks are only certified to contain the amount that's printed on them if there's no air inside the bottle?" He didn't know, and he was surprised.

Then, while I was showering at home, it occurred to me that this would make a great short video. And with that video, I could finally achieve my old dream of buying a Bentley.

I immediately called B and told him my idea: we should go to a gas station with a bottle of Coke and an empty bottle of the same size. Then, we'd fill the empty bottle with gas, proving that we're being ripped off. Let's say they steal about a deciliter from every two liters, which adds up to roughly $300 million a day. That's three billion in ten days. And that's just the theft, on top of their profit – we haven't even calculated the pure profit the manufacturers make from selling water and packaging.

I told him that while we're filling the bottle, we'd film it, creating the short video, and talk about how much money people are losing. After all, almost everything in the world is about theft and scams. Or at least a lot of things. Obviously, that's the easiest way to make money. You don't have to invest; you just take what belongs to someone else.

This thought about how many people are being cheated gave B an idea. He said, "What if someone told everyone on the planet to jump at the same time, for example?" Maybe we could even change the Earth's rotation speed with that.

I replied that explosions could probably achieve the same thing, if jumping could. But then I had an idea related to that. In "The Legend of Spring," I already wrote about an experiment they did a long time ago, somewhere in America. Thousands of people gathered and meditated together. They focused on reducing crime, and they succeeded. I think crime dropped by ten percent that week. Then they ended the experiment; they didn't continue it.

Maybe humanity has now reached a technical level where we could continue that experiment on a global scale. Everyone has access to the internet. We could create a website where everyone registers. Then, we'd tell the registered people what to think about or meditate on at a specific time of day, for say, five minutes. We could experiment to see how to make it more and more effective. How effective is it with even fewer subscribers? And then how effective is it when there are more, like billions? How much more effective is it if people spend more time concentrating, for example? So, we could experiment to see how effective it is.

We could focus on reducing crime, world peace, or ending pollution. Who knows what the collective human consciousness or unified will is capable of? Maybe we could even open a wormhole and travel to the edge of the galaxy. Of course, it could only be used for good things because individual humans are fundamentally good. It's in groups that they tend to follow crazy leaders.

Imagine humanity as an anthill without a queen. An anthill without a queen doesn't stay together; it scatters. But if there's a common will, it builds a termite mound. What is humanity capable of if it had a common will? We can't even imagine it yet, at least not until we try it.

B got excited. "This could get us a whole fleet of Bentleys!" he said. "We need to buy a domain, write what we want on the website, and get started. If nothing else, it would make a good movie topic. If they film it, maybe that will unite humanity and get us a lot of subscribers. Any problem of humanity would find a solution."

Maybe we could even do it for local, not global, problems – just the specific community or city meditates or concentrates. Maybe even healing someone is possible with collective human consciousness, or local consciousness. Perhaps anything the site imagines is achievable. We'll only find out what's true if we try it.

How will this look in practice, keeping simplicity and purpose in mind? We'll buy a domain, [humanitysync.com]. Here, you can sign up for our newsletter and see how many people have already subscribed. On this site, you can get information about the experiment, the topics, the times, and the results. There will be a forum where you can suggest ideas on what direction to take the Earth's or humanity's general collective thinking.

Your job is to let your friends know about this experiment so they can participate too! When we reach a certain number, we'll start. The first thought we'll probably meditate or think about together, I think, will be creating world peace. We'll eliminate wars on Earth simply by meditating on it together, or if someone can't meditate at that time, they can still think about peace. The next could be the general healing of people suffering from diseases, or the elimination of hunger. The point is to make the whole planet aware as a living being, whose brain is humanity and whose individual instances are the neurons. I don't know what this experiment will be capable of, what it will achieve, but curiosity will kill me to see what happens. Perhaps this is the only way for humanity to avoid catastrophe and extinction.
